Biographical Sketch: Deborah Perry is an associate professor at the Georgetown University Center for Child
and Human Development. She is currently the Project Director for a Head Start-funded
Center for Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (ECMHC) and the co-principal
investigator on a statewide evaluation of mental health consultation to child care in
Maryland. Dr. Perry’s research focuses on community-based participatory approaches to designing and testing preventive interventions for young children and their caregivers. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and translational publications, and has given more than 50 national trainings, presentations, and lectures on a wide variety of maternal and child health and early child development topics.
